Booming is the love for grout alternative bathroom walls such as VENETIAN PLASTERING, WET WALLS and the VJ Panels (TIMBER-CLAD WALLS)

Furthermore I have coined this trend the GROUTLESS BATHROOM era and by doing so I am here to tell you the truth about using VJ Panels in bathrooms.

Let us below cover the most important question you have if this is your first time using VJ Panels in your bathroom

CAN YOU USE VJ PANELS IN YOUR SHOWER?

The first big questions is can you use vj panels or timber panels in your shower area?

ANSWER: NO YOU CAN NOT!

Clearly, you should never say never but at this time of writing this using timber/vj panels directly in your shower area is a bad idea depending on the distance you can make it work.

Which VJ Panels Are Used For Bathrooms?

Underoubablty my favourite panel to use in the bathroom is Easycraft Wet Area Interior

These wall coverings an ultra-high moisture-resistant panels, suitable for interior wall & ceiling linings in bathrooms, laundries and kitchens.

At this point in time you can purchase them from Bunnings all over Australia so they are really accessible CLICK HERE TO CHECK THEM OUT

One note in this current market is to explain they are becoming harder to buy so stock up or make sure stock is available.

Where To Use VJ Panels In your Bathroom?

Importantly the best place to your VJ Panels in the bathroom is anywhere you do not come in contact with a heavy flow of water such as the shower.

Areas like vanity splashbacks or bath splashbacks are fine as with the water-resistant panels and paint it won’t penetrate when sealed correctly.

It should be noted you can in theroy use them in the shower area but you ideally want to be at least over 2m from the shower head direct line in my opinion.

What Is The Best Size Timber Paneling For Bathrooms

Definitely an easy answer on this one which is the 100mm size for me is the perfect VJ Panel size.

Not only does the 100mm size give you more of a feature it also does not overdo the lines.

When you use the 50mm size VJ Panels or the 150mm you either have way to many lines in the case of the 50mm

Along with too few lines in the 150mm as it starts to just look like painted walls.

Go 100mm size if you want that traditional VJ Panel looks in your bathroom or laundry.

What Is The Best Size Timber Panelling For Bathrooms

VJ Panels Are The Best Splashbacks.

VJ Panels are the best splashbacks for a subtle finish.

They scream class and warm and pair perfectly in a Scandi or Hamptons-style laundry, bathroom or Kitchen.

As mentioned before they are great for cleaning which is the key goal for any splashback in my opinion.

The Truth About Using VJ Panels In Your Bathroom.

So here it is my friends the trusth about using VJ Panels in your bathroom from a guy who has installed many of them.

VJ Panels are a brilliant product in the right setting requiring a really thought-out idea of what bathroom style you want.

Many a time I have seen them thrown into rooms that do not go or installed in one section but have no continuity to the rest of the room.

They can be a nightmare to install on walls that are uneven and a disaster when combining tiles and timber meeting at certain points.

Personally though I love them, once installed correctly and in the right style of bathroom it will be the best thing you ever did.
