Depth wise won’t make too much of an impact that is more to do with the flooring cost the deeper you go.

Now, this is the tricky part. Every state in Australia and every area can have different costs when it comes to tradesmen so let me be general on this.

For your plumbing, you are looking at $500 – $800 for a drop-down setup like many of the images in this post which is the benchtop running across the top of your front loader washing machine.

Electrical for dropping the PowerPoint is around $250

Splashback tiling between $300 to $500

Cupboard installation about $400 to $600

So all up you are looking at around $1500 for the labor side of your laundry renovation on the cheaper end.

Furthermore laminate benchtops can look beautiful and feel/ look like stone to make your budget-friendly laundry reno an expensive looking renovation

What a laundry under $3000 looks like

Below are some laundry renovations that have been renovated for under $3000.

All three of these laundry renovations use a laminate benchtop which can add a little bit of color or striking feature.

Adding a feature splashback can take away from any renovation that might be on the boring side.

Wall hooks or robe hooks are great in laundries that have an outside door for any items you want to hang going in and out like the laundry below shows off.

Bonus – Laundry Renovation On A Budget But Willing To Spend A Little More?

If your budget is over $3000 but you don’t want to spend the earth here is my real advice.

Always go with stone benchtops but never spend over $1000, you will almost always manage to get engineered stone between $500 and $1000 even if you are wanting a Caesarstone or an Essa stone

Often you will get kitchen offcuts at stone masons who will sell you the top quality benchtops for around $500 as they already have paid for the tops in full.

The more draws you have the more it will cost you. If you are going down the custom-made route every draw you add to your laundry will cost you an extra $300. Now is every draw worth $300 when you are on a budget?

Personally, for me, you should never tile full height in a laundry unless you really hate wall paint. Tiling full height is going to turn your budget-affordable laundry renovation into an expensive luxury renovation.
